It can be overwhelming when you have a new baby! Your body is healing, you are likely to be feeling exhausted, life may have changed beyond all recognition and you just need a little extra help, support and encouragement.

I can be there for you.

What does postnatal support include?

My postnatal support really can look different for each family depending upon your needs, but I will always help you to replenish your vital energy by giving you time and space to rest and ground yourself after the birth of your baby. This can be as simple as looking after your baby while you take a nap or entertaining your older children while you take some special bonding time with your baby. I can be flexible and respond to your needs whatever they might be.

Traditional Postnatal Healing

I will make you herbal baths, cook you warming nourishing food, prepare healthy sweet treats, warming spiced teas and drinks. I will bring with me gifts to support you on your healing journey, a gentle touch and reassuring and kind words.

Healing Abdominal Massage

A traditional abdominal massage is a wonderful way to support you on your healing journey. The techniques I use were shared with me by Rocio Alarcon a healer, ethnobotanist and folk midwife from Ecuador. I have also completed Closing the Bones training with Maddie McMahon of Developing Doulas.

A Listening Ear

If you have any questions about your experiences during the birth of your baby, I will talk through these with you. If you just want to chat about what happened or tell me how hard you are finding those early days with a new baby, I will put the kettle on and listen.

Feeding Support

If you are breastfeeding, I can help you with positioning and attachment. We can talk through any concerns you may have and I will give you lots of encouragement. I can also support you if you choose to feed your baby in any other way.

I am fully DBS checked and a trained breastfeeding peer supporter. I am a mother of 3 children and have lots of hands on experience of looking after babies and entertaining older children.

Your Investment in Postnatal Support

Post-natal support can be booked at any time during your pregnancy as part of your post-natal plan. It can also be booked after your baby is born.

My fees are £20 per hour if you book a block of hours which can be used in your own time. I have a minimum of a 3 hour session. One off sessions (3 hours) are £70 per visit, so block bookings are a more economical way to book my time.

  • 15 hours – £300
  • 25 hours – £500

For post-natal support I usually take payments in full before your baby is born.

Depending on where you live, I may need to ask for a contribution for my fuel expenses.

Virtual Postnatal Support

If you don’t live in Cornwall and would like some post-natal support over the phone, or by video call, this can also be arranged. Please Contact Me for further information.

If you book in person post-natal support with me I can also offer you a 15% discount on a Closing the Bones Ceremony.
